OS not supported

UM175 modem will not set up on hp amd turion--model dv73065dx---as I go thru the set up, it says OS not supported. I'm at a loss

What operating system do you have? xp? vista 32bit? 64 bit? windows 7 32bit, 64 bit? hackingtosh?(mac operating system on a pc) ?? More details please.
