I will be traveling to London and Dublin soon. I had planned on turning off roaming on my iphone4, downloading Skype, and making and receiving phone calls only when in a publicly accessible WiFi location. However, I just acquired a MiFi 4510L mobile hotspot. I therefore have two questions:
(1) Will the mobile hotspot work in London and Dublin; and (2) If I use the hotspot in London and Dublin, so that i can make and receive calls from anywhere, does the hotspot device itself incur roaming charges? Thanks

I do not believe the MiFi's work outside the U.S. as they require the VZW network. However, if they do, the cost of data would be prohibitive.

I think some of Jetpacks and MiFi devices are global ready, but the cost of a Verizon global data plan is costly.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
