Hi,
Specs:
Verizon UM175 USB Aircard
HP DV7 4060US - AMD Phenom II Triple-Core Mobile Processor N830
Windows 7 Home Edition
4 GB memory
Issue:
I have been trying to find a solution to this for weeks and I still can't find the root cause. Here are some of the different scenarios that I've already tried and still crashes.
1. Download the latest 7.2.1 (2420b), result crashes the laptop once the connect radio button is clicked.
2. Saw forum suggestion to use old version of VZaccess Manager 6.10.10 and let the install fail, then install the drivers with backward XP compatible, result still crashes the laptop.
I've searched all kinds of forum and found nothing other then item 2 used and it fixes most folks issue but not me. I did find a post that said the person thinks it's the AMD processor which the post did not continue with a solution. So I'm think if anyone knows that the processor is indeed an issue with UM175.
Thanks in advance for any assistance on this.

Hello,
First, I recommend uninstalling all versions of the VZ Access Manager that you may have installed on your device. Next, I encourage you to view the System Requirements page for our VZ Access Manager application, which can be found at the link below:
Reboot your computer and download and install the correct VZ Access Manager software. Based on the description that you gave, the software version that you need for your Windows 7 operating system can be found at the link below:
Verizon Wireless UM175 7.2.1 (2420b)1,4,
If you are still having any trouble, please feel free to post a reply.
