Have installed the Novatel USB760 aircard from Verizon on a Dell Latitude E6410 laptop running XP SP3 32bit. Installation works fine and I am able to connect via the device. I can even disconnect from the Internet successfully. The problem arrives when literally attempting to exit from the software. When I click Exit, it will go to the "Please wait while application exits" progress bar and just stay there in limbo never successfully exiting unless I kill the process from Task Manager which I'd rather not have to do each time. I don't believe the card is at fault here but maybe the application. I've completely removed the card/application multiple times but the problem persists. We have the same USB 760 aircard working on other 6410 laptops without issue.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Try a disk cleanup and analyze the system for Defragment. When this happens and you have to open the Task Manager, check the other processes at the time to see if there are other applications/services that may be delaying the closing.
If that doesn't help, uninstall it, restart and disable your anti-virus software then reinstall.
