Can this extender be used to boost the signal for our Mi Fi. We have poor Verizon service at our house and the wi-fi and cell signal is weak. We are using 2 lap tops. How would we use a router? Any information you could give would help. Thanks.

Verizon Network Extender's are devices that leverage an existing cable internet connection to provide you with a mini cell phone tower inside your home. This is a great way to bring signal strength to a basement or home on the edge of an existing service area. They do not amplify and repeat the existing cellphone/wireless signals in your area, they create new ones.
I assume that if you are using the MiFi for home use that you do not have a cable internet connection. If that is true then your time would be better spent looking into an antenna and amplifier system instead of the VZW Network Extender. 3GStore offers a great guide for walking new users through a site survey. After the site survey is complete you will be able to feel confident about purchasing some of the equiptment that is available.

Thanks for the information. You explained it very well. We don't have a
cable system now so we'll look into the antenna that you mentioned.
Thanks again,
Pat
