I'll be honest.....I was told there was a limit on my data on my phone and yes I have gone sliightly over a couple times.....a couple dollars. I have never ever hit the limit with my broadband, quite frankly didn't realize there was one. Now all of the sudden my $170 monthly bill has turned into a $630 two month bill!!!!!! I think something is extremely messed up. Customer service said they could offer me a "cap" on the second bill so it took a hundred off my total bill now i'm at 530 so thats what $265 a month for what???? Nothing is different. I suspended my nice $300 phone and now I have a cheap-o phone and I'm scared to get on the internet.........what is really going on? I see from other verizon users in the community that Virgin Mobile has a unlimited for $40. DUH.....hello does this not sound ethically wrong? Someone stated Verizon can do what they want IF u don't like it move on....What a bad attitude!!! Guess what? Yea I think there are several moving on and Verizon not getting paid. Sobe as unethical as you want Verizon. My credit went bad with the economy so you aren't really hurting what I don't have.....VIRGIN MOBILE HERE I COME!!!!!
Something is messed up. I got a 500 dollar bill this month. I use networx to track my useage. Also I been checking verizon own website for usage. I didn't go over. There site even told me I didn't go over. Yet they are trying to charge me 500 bucks for?
I know the feeling about going over your usage. My problem is that when I connect to VZM Manager the usage box is suppose to come up and tell you where you are at, mine will not show the web page so I don't know unless I log into the Verizon Wireless home page. I have no problem there, except it it very inconvenient sometimes, and you are using your usage to get on Verizon.
I have a suggestion for Verizon - When a customer is getting close to being over, Verizon can send an email to let them know and then the customer has an option to buy and extra 1G or what ever they think they need, for a small extra one time fee for the billing cycle. So that way the customer will not get a big surprise at the end of the billing cycle (mine was $107.00 extra).
They do not have a larger plan then the 5G for the broadband device. Now a days people are on the internet a lot more then previous years. Some people are working 2nd jobs from there computers at home besides just enjoy internet entertainment. It would just make since to have an extra 1G available if needed - this would be like an ala-cart option.
Just a thought!!!!!!
When customers use Mobile Broadband and certain allowance thresholds are reached, an SMS alert is automatically generated; only if the Mobile Broadband device is turned on and VZAM (VZAccess Manager) is running. This applies to all VZW Mobile Broadband type devices.
The requirements for Mobile Broadband Usage Alerts are:
The alerts are sent out in SMS form. You can check your SMS messages by clicking the "TXT" tab at the top of your VZ Access Manager. Examples of Mobile Broadband usage alerts are the following:
Four alerts will be sent at the pre-defined thresholds (50%, 75%, 90% and 100%), based on the plan allowance.
