Why does it take so long for wireless usage date to update? My counter shows usage though yesterday, July 17 at 3:41 p.m. but the data stats are still only showing data up to July 16. Why doesn't it update and show an accurate reading for both?
It an take up to 24 hours for the information to update. Unfortunately our billing system is designed to collect the information in a period of time which can cause the usage to take 24 hours to update.
I have been noticing this since the middle of last month. I have several gaps in the usage log where data sessions have NOT been logged, though data usage is accumulating in the month-to-date usage totals. My last entry was logged 3 days ago and I have been using data every day. Prior to mid-July, entries were accurately entered daily, with gaps for only known periods of inactivity. Something has definitely gone coo-coo here, not that it matters too much as long as my cumulative usage totals are in expected ranges, as I never approach my monthly data limit.
@mike91769, I have a tiered data plan and I need to keep an eye on my usage at all times so I definitely understand your concern. But don’t worry because I’m here to help!
As your fellow community member mentioned, the usage can sometimes take up to 24 hours to update. How are you checking the usage? Are you checking online via My Verizon or from the phone?
