I have tried the um 175 usb 3g modem on both my laptop and desktop. The fastest i can connect at using verizons speed test is 181 kbs. My signal is 3 out of 4 bars, my evdo is at -85, 1xrtt is also -85. I am using the latest modem and vz access software. I had this problem about 1.5 months ago when it wouldnt budge off the download speed or 200kbs for 2 weeks. Verizon sent me a new modem but the night before it arrived i logged in and wast back up to 1200kbs with the old modem. All was well till like 3 days ago and now im back down to less then 200kbs again. I use no router just plug my modem right into my desktop or laptop. I have a ticket open now with verizon. I work 2nd shift so I use the internet around this time of day or at 12-2am in the morning. When i connect it does not say im on national access btw. If anyone has had anything similiar and has any advice im listening
