can I network with a dongle?

Hello, I wonder if anyone can tell me if I can network DWs laptop to mine if we are using a USB dongle internet connection with verizon?

 

we have been looking at the new mini notebooks, and have been curious

It should work if you enable Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on the computer with the cellular modem. If you don't have one yet, however, look at the MiFi; it does what you want in a much easier to use modem.

The mifi shares via wifi only if you don't use it's USB cable to connect to a PC.  When connected, it doesn't send out wifi signals.  Just thought I'd toss that out--if not connected to USB, the mifi will provide wifi for up to 5 devices.  I love it!
