I will be boating the length of the Mississippi next summer and need a device to allow me to access weather radar on my laptop. I have a standard cellphone presently and believe there is a card for a laptop that enables portable internet access. What is the name, capability and cost for this device/service? I believe this is dependent on cell phone coverage for the area I'm in and from the Verizon maps it looks as though most of the Mississippi River is covered. Does this device work while driving in a car as well? Thanks for any comments/suggestions.
