We just got a mifi2200. It works great with our laptop but we also want to use it with our desktop. The problem is our desktop doesn't have a wireless modem and the best place for the mifi is in another room. Is a USB wireless adapter a good idea? If so, what kind?

Yes, that's easier than opening up the box and installing an internal adapter. I have always liked Netgear, but I suggest you make a trip to Wal-Mart and see what they have.

I just ordered this from Amazon. It has a good user rating. Price is pretty good too.

Thanks for the replies. We ended up going to BB and found a Belkin for $49. Seems to connect to the MIFI just fine. We played with it all weekend - seem to be getting download speeds around 500k. I guess we're naiive, but we thought we'd be MUCH faster than this. Any ideas?
