xbox and wireless card

I am having to move to a place that believe it or not doesn't have internet, I was wondering if anybody could tell me. When I hook my laptop up to my wireless card, would I be able to use that link to play xbox live. I know silly question but would like input.

Hey xpdiver,

That's not a silly question at all! I am happy to help as much as I can. My first question is what kind of wireless card are you using? I think for XBox you need a wi-fi connection to go on XBox Live. If you have a Mifi or another type of mobile hotspot, you can certainly hook up your XBox via the wireless connection to get you connected. If it is a USB Modem, that would only give internet access to the device it is connected to. I hope this helps a bit more, but if you have questions, I would reach out to Microsoft for more help with getting that set up!
