E3200 Range Extender MUST be hard wired?

I had issues extending the WIFI 6 capabilities throughout my house, and it was partially due to the compatibility between the Verizon equipment and alternative equipment.  (I DID have some success with this ASUS Mesh system, though I found it infuriating that one of the 3 "extenders" had to be hardwired to the CR1000A in order to make that system work well enough that I could work with all of my printers (2 needed to be hardwired to an extender).

So now I am working on improving the WIFI range by adding an extender in a corner where the signal is weak.  I was told that the best way to do this was with a verizon extender, and that others might not work well with the wifi 6.  (can confirm this last part given my attempts with alternative brand extenders that failed intermittently).

This brings me to the E3200.  I can't put this comment into a thread about connection issues between an extender and the base unit CR1000A, but I learned a lot reading that thread.

1.  I am NOT crazy, it is simply not possible to wirelessly connect the E3200 to my network, according to what I read.

2.  Other people are frustrated by this reality.

3.  The Tech people responding, (and no disrespect to them, they are just stating the reality) don't have alternative solutions, nor do they have anything that will help other than purchasing another router that WILL connect to the E3200.

Given how much this "extender" costs, and given how it was sold, many of us are angry, as well as frustrated.  Given the reality of what was said, It could be noted that IF I had a wire in the place where I needed the extender, I would not need THIS extender.  I would have a host of options.

Anyway, I wanted to message the board to commiserate with those sharing the same issues, you are not alone, and as a place holder for actual workable solutions that don't involve running network cable around the house.
