TravelPass not working in Chennai India

My TravelPass worked fine in Delhi, but now in Chennai it will not connect. I have turned my phone off and on a few times but only had a few seconds of connection and a few texts came through before it cut off again. I see a full signal on a local network but I'm not actually connected. All of the Verizon support chats want to send a verification code but I can't receive codes which is why I'm looking for support to begin with! Help. I'd like to call my mom on Mother's Day. Thank you.

Hi, sorry to hear about your troubles.  Verizon doesn't have international service agreements with every wireless carrier there is, so I'd be willing to bet it's because whatever provider's towers your phone is recognizing in Chennai aren't under any deal with Verizon, hence you cannot use them.  There may also be an issue with the generation of wireless technology used as everything is 4G or 5G in the US, but may be 2G or 3G elsewhere (I've got a friend in Venezuela who says they barely have 3G still).
