This price reduction is from Amazon, not Verizon.
Verizon does not do price matching with AmazonWireless so I doubt you will gain anything by going to the store and asking. But then again, I never say never.

I got my Droid Charge for $89.00 with a new 2 year contract and that was a month ago. How... I had a moto droid that was "acting up" and still under warranty but I had also just entered the window where I could upgrade. So instead of sending my 1st gen moto droid back to motorola for repairs they offered the Charge for $89.00.
I know my situation does not apply to most people. I always get the extended warranty on my phones as I feel it offers more options for Verizon to "work with me" on issues I have with a phone. Just my opinion.
