120/240 power charge

I am traveling to Australia and NZ- Is it safe to plug in the phone for charge with 240 current? Most equipment has the 120/240 designation on the power cord somewhere, but I don't see any on the Droid X cord!

Yes the wall charger plug part shows 110-240.  With that said, I spent 1 year with 220v power, during that time I burnt out several 110/220 devices simply because of power surges.  The $20 converters you can buy at radio shack should be strong enough and provide you fused protection for your device just to play it safe.

crb79 is correct.  We're talking about a $500+ phone so don't try to squeek by with a cheap converter/surge protector. The $10 or $20 difference in price isn't worth it.

My wife and I went to Australia/New Zealand last year but we were on a cruise ship and they are all 110v.  But it seams to me that I had contacted Verizon to let them know I would be "roaming" there.
