160 character message limit is fricking frustrating!!!!!

VZW: When are you going to step into the new millennium with your SMS handling, and split them after 160+ characters?

I agree, this shouldn't be a problem and should be handled on VzWs end, but there is a workaround.  Download Handcent SMS.  It has an option to automatically spilt the message for you at the 160 mark and send separate messages.  I like it better than the default app anyway.  It has a multitude of options and is considerably more capable than the default app.  Plus it's free.

Yup! Plus, if your pals of VZW customers too, you can send them text messages as MMS as well and they'll receive it. Its only for people who don't have VZW that we'd need to do that with. But nice solution nevertheless :smileyvery-happy:
