To all those wondering if the update is really going out... Just recieved my update notice on my Incredible at 10:20 pm PST in Mount Vernon Oregon. It took a little longer than 10 minutes for the update to run but I can confirm that I now have it.

 

It does have a new splash screen on boot like many were wondering and Im still looking trhough it finding all sorts of new stuff. I really hope you all get your taste of Froyo soon!

The 720p video format is in the update. The hotspot feature is there as well though it looks like they did make it so that they will be charging us to use the feature.

Oh we also have the roll right feature now! We are no longer limited to rolling to the left only lol!

I read up on the update from AndroidCentral.com.

 

They say that it's the same file you would have gotten from the OTA (URL: android.clients.google.com)

 

How can we be sure that verizon doesn't include customer-specific information, e.g. - saved downloadable apps, user configuration schemas, etc?

 

Can this link be confirmed to be IDENTICAL (as in equal to) the same over the air update that everyone is waiting for?

 

If that's the case, then I'll download it and install it.

 

Also, another question:  If you do install via pulling this OTA from Google rather than having the OTA pushed to you from Verizon, then does the OTA from Verizon pass over your phone recognizing that you already have the OTA?

Ok Guys...here's what's up...I just recived my update as of 5:30am Hawaii standard time so that means its 8:30 Pacific time...11:30 Eastern time...woke up to see an update on my phone cheee...patient...it will come to you
