Hello,
Here's the problem: I have two laptops: one can easily connect to my 3G hotspot and the other can not. I have compared the network settings of each and have found no differences. I've tried changing the internet protocols. As well as releasing/renewing my IP address. Nothing works. I even called for a representative to help and was actually insulted by the lack of interest in my problem.
I've had this problem since October and have yet to find a solution. I don't know if it's the phone itself or the settings on my computer.
It would be greatly appreciated of I could get some help with this.
Thank you!!

I already posted a simular issue with 3G on network extender at http://community.vzw.com/t5/DROID-X-by-Motorola/Extended-Network-amp-SMS-MMS-Issues/td-p/381904 without any responce, I have been on phone with CS a number of times and the unir will work for a breif time and then stop again. I have no issues with the phone receprion but it seems to have a issue with any .3G service part of device.

I have listed some information below that may help with the Hotspot issue you are experiencing.
- Step. 1 - Try switching the hotspot channel (Step 6 in the article under channel)
***To access settings, 3G Mobile Hotspot must be disabled (Off).
http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=33761 - Step. 2 - Try changing the encryption
http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=33761 (Step 6 in the article under security) - Step. 3 - Try relocating the device. (Something in the immediate location could be affecting the service received)
- Step. 4 - Soft reset (power off the device, pull the battery out for 20 seconds and place it back in)
I hope this helps.
