My Moto DROID is about 7 months old. Two days ago (about 2 or 3 days after downloading the new phone system update) my internet stopped working. I click the web browser and I get the error message "Data connectivity problem" "The server failed to communicate. Try again later," after a few minutes of it trying to retrieve a web page. I get this error message whether I'm on 3G or connected to my home's Wi-Fi. (My home's Wi-Fi right now is open. No Mac-address filter, no password) My apps that connect to the internet time out and give error messages. I can send and receive phone calls and text messages. I'm not sure about pix/flix messages, I haven't tried that. It constantly shows the sync symbol on the notification bar like it's trying to sync but can't connect so it tries again and again. Then randomly it comes back! It's very frustrating. I restart my phone while it doesn't work and it loads again and still doesn't work. Every night while I'm sleeping my battery is out of my phone. Two days ago I drove to Verizon, and as soon as I got there, it worked. I started getting flooded with social network notifications. So I left. The next day, yesterday, I experienced the same problem. So I went to Verizon again. I handed my phone over this time, he pulled the battery out first thing, after I explained my problem, and turned it on. Internet worked. He tried to tell me I was loading too many apps so it froze and that when he pulled the battery out it fixed it. But the battery comes out every night. And I haven't installed anything new recently. Now, it is currently not working. This is extremely frustrating!

In 'wireless and networks' at the bottom is 'mobile network', click the checkbox so there is a blue check mark.
Hope this helps,

This has happened to me as well. All i did was reboot and then it started working again. If that doesnt work, turn it on and take battery out. You may also be living in an area that doesnt have the best coverage.
