3G network - not working consistently? Anyone?

I have had the experience lately of accessing the web being reeaaalllly sllloooowwww. (really slow) and the indicator often showing that it is accessing "1X" - within my regular local area, even outdoors. This has been happening so frequently that it has become an annoyance to try to access the web which i usually do on a regualr basis.

 

Has anyone else notices a definite LAG in network speed while accessing the web? I am becoming extremely dissatisfied with this lag, especially after shelling out $500 for this phone. Would appreciate hearing about similar experiences/possible solutions.

Yep, this is known as the "3G to 1X Dance"  ...  Some people see this more than others for whatever reason. You might try the (dial)  *228 +  option 2    reprogramming trick. Some has said this helps them get a more consistent 3G signal. Good luck.

I get the slloooowwwww connection occasionally, as well as complete lack of connection every other day or so.  Yeah, it's slightly annoying but it usually kicks back in after a few minutes.  I've had a couple of Verizon employees tell me that it might be due to the 4G/LTE upgrades in this area (apparently, this will be in place here within the next few months). 

 

One thing that was suggested on here (I believe from "Wildman") is an app called "Restart Connection".  When my connection stops working completely, I just click the app, and I'm up and running again in about a minute.

Paintbetty i've experienced this problem as well it Does this on my X an my D inc . as cody said u can do a *228 option 2 But if that  Does't help try to do a reset Instead of option 2.  Do option 1. Depending were u live if your in a old alltel Area you may need

 

a Sid/Nid Change as I did.  Call Tech Have them Go Over Your Acc. And Tell them that your Indicator is Flipping Back an Fourth or Stayin on 1X an want to see if a new Sid has been pute in your Area. Like I said i had to change the sid in my Phones an it Heped

 

One Other thing Make Sure they Help U Program The Sid if it's Needed They'll Tell You it can Bee done by doing a reset *228 option 1 But that Doesn't Always work Most of Time it just goes back to whats all ready in there. One other thing that Possibly Mite Help

 

is Do a Batt Pull. You May Possibly Also Have a App that may be Causing Conflict.  If Wildman sees this post he may have a Little More Insite on the Issue An Could Suggest Some Other things U Can Try. But Dont Give up I Know U payed allott for your X But
