A Bunch of Droid X questions...still figuring out how to use it

I got my Droid X about a week ago, I love it! But there are some things that I am still trying to figure out, who knows if they are even an option on the phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1) My calendar doesn't show both evens from my personal calendar that I synced with the google calendar and the holidays. It just shows the holidays coming up, not both that & my personal events.

2) Does the camera zoom?

3) Is there a way to set it to turn on and off at certain times every day or will I need an app for that?

4) The photo gallery...I want my photos in certain folders. For example, I want my wedding photos under a wedding folder in the gallery, is that possible?

5) I have downloaded  a few ringtones. But when I go to contacts to assign a person that ring tone, that ringtone is not on the list of tones to assign, just the preloaded tones. AND...how do I assign a downloaded tone to text messaging?

6) Sometimes my browser won't zoom in my using my fingers (pinch/squeeze), but will if I double tap the screen. Is it a certain website that I am visiting that does this? I want the pinch/squeeze feature, not double tap.

7) What is a good calendar/to-do-list/note pad free app all in one?

2. Yes, with the volume buttons. Cuts down on quality though. Camcorder doesn't zoom 😕

3. I dunno if there's even an app for that, no native option for it.

4. Yes. Plug it into a computer by USB and on the phone click USB Mass Storage. Open the device as a flash drive on your PC and make a folder anywhere, probably under pictures, and name it Wedding. Click n drag pics into the folder. Select multiple with ctrl+click reccommended. After, safely unplug your DX n wait for SD card to remount then Gallery>folders>Wedding etc.

6. Get a Task Killer (I use Task Manager) kill the browser n retry.

7. Springpad and GTasks are good.

5. How did you download the ringtones? Can you click "Set as Ringtone"? Might set your default ringer to it but you can set it back, should put it in the ringtone list at least.

 I will try to answer as much as possible to help..

I remember seeing a option in Google sync site that allowed you to hide you personal items, maybe I would search settings and make sure that this hasnt been set, I do not use Google for my appointment so I cant give you exact information of how to find it, but I know its on the site.

Yes, you can use the volume up and down to zoom in and out.

3) Is there a way to set it to turn on and off at certain times every day or will I need an app for that?

I do not believe you can have device power off and back on automatically but there is a number of apps that can disable notifications on a time schelduled but I do not have any names off the head.

I gallery just shows the list of avalible folders, if you copy the files into a folder they will be grouped to reflect this in the gallery.

Place ringers in SD/Media/Audio/Ringers folder (If RINGERS folder isnt present, create it in the directory) under SD Card and the files will show in list.

Sounds like you may be use to using a capacitive screen but the Droid X uses a resistive touch screen and it requires a interaction directly with your finger unlike capacitive screens will respond to a point of a objects like a finger nail... Try making sure you are touching screen with your finger not your finger nail you may notice a better responce.

All my app are pay for these functions.. So I cant give many free apps but I am sure if you search Market you can find a few to select from.

Yes mine does this sometimes as well.   It is solved simply by turning the phone off, and back on again.   I haven't found any other fix for it yet, but I haven't really looked because it hasn't bothered me enough to change what I've been doing.  I don't know if it is caused by a certain type of website but it does it only with select websites.  

As for the other questions... I think everything has been answered pretty well.   Enjoy your new phone, I'm sure you'll LOVE it if you don't already!!
