A little reading

It sort of surprises me how many of these questions could be self-answered if people would get the manual and read it. They can go to the Motorola site and download it, or they can go to the help icon and its there, in a more abbreviated form, as well. I, myself, weeks before I even received my Droid X, downloaded the manual and flipped through it. Once I got the Droid X, I waas a little more familiar with it than if I didn't. I don't mind helping people, it's just a thought that crossed my mind.

I can pretty much agree with you, I also downloaded the manual before I bought my device and I was pretty much familiar with the device also but the one issue for users after 2.2 update was that some of the menus and settings for the OS was modified and only release notes was given without no official manual to walk a user through a step by step guide.. Don't misunderstand me, I still agree that even with the changes and lack of updated manual most answers can still be accomplished with the information from the original manual.

You are absolutely correct in saying that 2.2 has made some changes, and some of these changes we are unaware of. I believe that Motorola would be doing all its customers of the Droids to come up with an addendum to the original manuals. This would help all of us quite a bit.

I stand corrected. Just went to the Motorola site out of curiousity. Lo and behold, they DO have an upgraded users manual for Froyo. Should go back to that site more often.

+1 :smileysurprised:, I didnt realize that they placed a updated Froyo manual... I did search for information about fixes for Froyo and never noticed that the pages I was finding was tied to the manual. :smileysurprised::smileywink::smileyvery-happy:

Sometimes the information in manuals can be overly technical and generic. It's often more helpful to get advice from real users. I spent weeks reading online info and forums before getting my X. That being said...I guess I need to check out the online manual. Smiley Happy
