I received a certified like new replacement phone. In copmparing the screen between my old and the replacement, the replacement screen did seem as vibrant and bright as my old phone. The whites on the old phone made the whites on the new phone look off white. There was a very noticable difference even though the display setting were the same as far as brightness or setting em both to auto. It's also very noticable when I compare it to my GF's Incredible. I verified that the replacement phone was an AMOLED screen as was my old phone. Is there any other settings to give some life to this screen? It just seems extremely dull.

Sorry for the confusing community members,
Originally Samsung did provide HTC with the Amoled screens on the HTC Incredible, which is why I referred to Samsung about the screen issues. We will continue to investigate the screen differences so we can report the performance to both manufacturers, HTC and Samsung.
Hope this helps...

Checked the model under the battery ADR6300. Hardware version 0002. I have the same exact screen protector I had on the last phone. No changes there.

After trying to explain to VZW customer service my problem with the screen I was told to pull the battery out and restart the phone. So I proceed even though I know that's not the problem because I've already done it before. So as I continue to explain I am told that the fix is to go under setting and adjust the display brightness. Which I also know is not the solution. As I job the display setting up and down I notice when it's all the way down the screen has a faint red tint to it??? Is this common?? In the end I was told the brightness is the only setting to adjust any kind of color. The only solution was to accept my phone as is. I guess I will have to make the 30 mile trip to the VZW store and compare it to another Incredible to plead my case. I wish in instances like this customer support would direct your call to tech support!

I am aware of that but I'm sure when you see the problem they could have Verizon send a certfied like new. I just off the phone with tech support. They said that you have to accpet it as it is. They tried telling me it was a SLCD screen and that's why it wasn't as "VIBRANT' as the original. She then proceeded to send me to HTC support where the rep said it was a hardware problem and not a software problem. He also mentioned there is documented cases. I said so if it it a hardware problem shouldn't Verizon replace it?? He said they should and didn't see what the big deal was. As a last resort he said if Verizon didn't replace it I could send the phone in to HTC for repair. He gave me a repair ticket number. At least they support their customers!

Hello losvaldez55,
I agree with you about the screen's resolution. May I ask what was wrong with your original phone that led to a replacement device? Was it a screen issue? Maybe it's a product issue and needs to be reported to HTC. Please advise as to it will help us in what direction to take the concern.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Ummm, ArnettH_VZW, this is just a guess. Considering that this is posted in the Droid Incredible forum, the phone replaced was a HTC Droid Incredible and NOT a Samsung. Please read more carefully.
ann....if it's a screen issue on the original one with an amoled screen, then they may want to report it to samsung as they made those screens.
