Hi voorchees:

I'd like to help you find your contacts. I was not able to find a way to hide a specific contact.  There are ways of modifying your contacts displayed by doing the following: Contacts (icon)> Menu Key> Display Options> Check/Uncheck accounts as you like. Perhaps the key to finding how to display the contacts that were hidden is posting the steps you performed in order to hide the contacts in the first place.

I hope that helps you.  Please post more details if you are in need of any more assistance.

Thanks,

you hide a contact by choosing to delete it.  then it pops up with a message stating: "you cannot delete contacts from read-only accounts, but you can hide them in your contacts list." after selecting ok, the contact is then hidden. now the question is how to view your hidden contacts.

I am having this same problem.  Prior to the update all I did was go into the contact list, select a particular contact, menu button, and there was the option to hide/unhide a contact.  That option is now completely gone, I can't seem to figure out how to select a particular list of contacts rather than viewing everyone. (Used to have the option of contacts, facebook, or gmail)  Are the contacts that were hidden pre-update deleted or something?
