Hello Deelivwell,
You may need to enable the Wifi on the Droid X. In addition, you also need to have the $20.00 Mobile Hotspot feature active on the line. You are able to check My Verizon to ensure you have the Hotspot feature. Below I have provided steps on how to make sure the Wifi is enabled.
From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
Touch Settings.
Touch Wireless & networks.
Touch WiFi.
Enabled when a green check mark is present.
I hope this information is helpful. Have a wonderful day!
