The option under "additional" to add a birthday to new contacts appears to be gone. Birthdays that were added before updating to gingerbread are there. Can anyone tell me how to add birthdays to new contacts I am adding to my phone? I have looked under "more" and have looked under the settings without success.

Never noticed this but it appears this option has been removed from phone menu but if you input it on Google Contacts on web the information will sync over..
Also it may be wise to not double post the same question...

Sorry about the double posts. I do not know why this happens. I use Verizons website and I post only once but two posts show up (both with the same posting time).

@ wildman an @ Drlinden40 there is another way you can ad your Birthday if have another Smartphone like i have the Droid Incredible an its linked to the same Gmail Acc. as my X. i Clicked on phone an went into the phone book area i then clicked People an went to my contact list an went to one of my contacts Clicked menu then Edit. Scrolled down to were it says Birthday an set the Date when i finished i then clicked save an then hit the home button. I then checked the same contact on my Droid X to see if the Birthday was there an it was there. Give this a try an see if works for ya. An good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion but both of my devices have GB, I noticed that the Google account works fine through browser so until a long term solution comes I decided that I would just log into Google account through mobile or desktop web browser and make changes if needed.
