Adding pictures to contacts

It isn't working. I select the contact, menu, edit, click the greyed out icon at the top, select the picture, and it doesn't show up.

Any ideas?

I figured it out. It likes to have pics added from the gallery, not files.

That seems a bit counter-intuitive to me....you have to go to the gallery and select the picture and tell it which contact?  Rather than editing the contact?  Hmmmmm..... glad you figured it out, but I can  see this becoming a recurring question.....

When you are selecting from the contacts you can choose either gallery or files. If you choose gallery it should work just fine.
