Alarm disappeared

I bought my Droid Incredible 2 two days ago. I set the alarm the first night and it worked fine. But when I went to set it last night, it was not there when I clicked on the clock on the homescreen. The only option was weather settings. I read a couple of places about having to do a factory reset, but seeing as how I have only had the phone for less than 48 hours, that is the last thing I want to do. I am also considering just taking it back, since I am still within the 14 days, and getting an Iphone instead. Thoughts/suggestions?? Thanks!!

Did your phone update to Gingerbread in those two days? If so, the factory reset is the only way to get the clock back.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

See this thread: http://community.vzw.com/t5/DROID-Incredible-2-by-HTC/Gingerbread-Update-Broke-HTC-Weather-Clock-Wid...

Factory Reset is only a temporary fix. Alarm will disappear again after some time. HTC knows of the issue. As many people as possible need to call HTC and Verizon to log a complaint.

This is not fixed I guess I got this phone YESTERDAY, set the alarm in store, the next morning, it DID NOT GO OFF! Now I can't find it again to turn it on. All the instructions say to find the Clock in apps and there is not one. This phone has been nothing but a problem since I walked out of the store and for what I paid for the stupid thing if I can't get it fixed I am taking it back and dumping my verizion service. There is junk for signal and the store here is NOT helpfull. When I called them today they said "not out problem read your owners manual" thats great already did and there is nothin in the stupid book about the alarm. Any ideas befor I thow the stupid thing out the window at the store I got it from?

I haven't done anything with Gingerbread...I don't even really know anything about it. So unless it did it on it's own...

My wife and I both have the DInc2, and after the update, my wife lost the alarm on hers, which she uses regularly, but mine is still there, and I don't ever use it. She was very frustrated with it. She did the whole factory reset thing, but even after that, it was still missing.

As far as I'm concerned, I didn't see a lot of real useful updates. I feel like some things got better, while most things stayed the same, and some things got worse.

It seems to me that the messaging broke. Before if I was typing a message, and I got a txt, I could just keep on going, and the txt would just flash there on the top and display the message, and it waited until I was done typing. But now it knocks me out of my messaging screen when I receive a txt. It's irritating!!

Mysteriously, the Clock app has reappeared in the app drawer and the clock widget functions again on my DINC2! I did update and or install a few apps yesterday which may have triggered a fix perhaps?

CNN (update), GateGuru and Priority Pass

Don't know if this is resolved permanently, something tells me it will only be temporary, but thought I would report this.

Mine was gone for a really long time so I just downloaded a new one but today I was messing around with my phone and it came back. I went to settings and then power and unchecked the fast boot thing. I just thought it might make it come back because it says you will need to turn of the fast boot to use some market apps and it worked!
