Hi, I was trying to switch battery last night and I accidently turn the phone back on while I took battery out. After I placed the battery, I released all my contacts are gone and most of my apps gave me this message "the application was close unecxpectly, please try again" I was able to unstall some of the app (whatsapp, skype) and re-install them and those two apps are working now and didn't earse the info. But I lost some of the info when I did the same thing to other apps. Also, all my contacts are gone, the websites I bookmaked on internet are gone. I am not sure I did "Backup assistant" before this happen. Is there anything else I can do and try to get my contacts back??
I did try to turn to phone off and took out the battery, but the phone still doesn't work.
HELP PLEASE!!!!

Option 1
Backup Assistance has issues with a number of smart phones, I suggest you consider using Google because it is more stable for a number of users under this situation...
Try logging into Verizon Backup Assistant to make sure that the contacts are still stored in the application and if it is then try you should be able to press the Sync with Phone option on the right hand upper corner...
Option 2
If this doesnt work but contacts is on the Backup Assistance area then I suggest that you import the contacts into Google gMail account and sync them from there...
Follow these instructions to do this..
1. Log into Verizon Backup Assistant
2. Click on Export to CSV
3. Save File as (or Rename to) Contacts (it should already be converted to CSV so including .csv is redundant)
4. Log into Gmail/Google Voice
5. Click on Contacts
6. Click on Import
7. Browse for the Contacts (.csv) file
8. Click Import
If you transfer to gMail I suggest you to goto Settings / Applications / All Applications / All Tabs / Sync Storage and clear data to disable Backup Assistance to avoid conflicting issues.
As for the missing applications issue you should be able to download them from Market / Menu / MyApps...
FINAL Option
If all fails or you experiance issue after completing process you should be able to resolve the issue by doing a hard reset
- Turn the power off. If your HTC DROID Incredible is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
- Hold the Volume Down button
- Press and release the Power button
- You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
- Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
- Press and release the Power button
- Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO
