Would love to be able to put phone on silent when going to sleep at night, but because of my job I need certain numbers or email addresses to be able to reach me 24-7. Can a Droid 2 be programmed to do this?

There are Apps in the Market that will allow you do that. Not so sure of the names of some Apps for you to try though.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

You should try FoxyRing. In addition to other features, it has silent hours that you can set, with the ability to put in emergency contacts that will cause the phone to ring like normal.
