Thanks for the reply. As a software tester understand the answer. Was just testing the real waters to see if it was in the wild yet.

If you look around there is a leaked version of 2.2 on the interwebs, but I'm not sure I would recommend it. Motorola has stated there will be no upgrade path from the leaked version to the official version.

The droid X forum on Mot's page is suggesting a major problem with 2.2 on the X and a delay until November??

Do you have a specific link to that (re: November) ?? I am a member of that Forum and do not see what you're talking about. There was a quote (posted here or on the Moto forum) from a Senior Moto rep. in PC MAG saying that the release is due out very very soon -- like within the week.

Got my froyo OTA today. Comes with preloaded crapware that cannot be uninstalled (without rooting, etc) and when I kill off skype, etc with ATK they just reload without my activating said apps. Other than this issue it is a massive increase to the utility of Android. I will def keep Verizon but wish they would let me uninstall skype, vz navigator, city id. Etc. Can't have everything I suppose.

Thanks for the update. Could you define the update that we can expect? Also, there is another post here where the author said that battery life was decreased? Have you experienced this?

Does everybody get charged for CityID like I do? $1.99 a month. I never signed up for that.
