When is the 2.3 upgrade coming out for the Incredible 2? I keep reading that Skype with video will work on the Incredible 2 once it gets that upgrade.

Lots and lots of leaks and guesses, but nothing is ever a firm guaranty.

Yes, but will it also fix the Compass issues? I hate having to use the Maps, going down the highway, then all of a sudden telling me I'm going the wrong way. I wish I could use a lot of the other Apps such as SkyMaps, and Layers... but makes it impossible and frustrating to use. ie: Turn one way, but the compass turns the other way. I'm going south, and it'll flip constantly then say I'm going north, going the wrong way.

You are right, Maps is UNUSABLE currently with the Droid Incredible 2 compas issue. If this is not fixed in the next update, Verizon better be offering another phone to us. Unacceptable from Verizon and HTC...the best feature of this Android phone is BROKEN.

Hi templetonryecy,
I completely understand your frustration. Hopefully you were able to take advantage of the update that was released on 07/11/11. If not, I have provided a list of resolved issues and the steps to complete the Software Update. Please let me know if you require further assistance.
Thank you for your contribution to our community forums,

This upgrade is not without its share of problems, i.e. Sense crashing, alarm clock disappearing, etc. These issues are discussed on this and many other forums. Hopefully, VZW and HTC will make it right.

After the Android 2.3 upgrade for the incredible 2, what is the next step to get Skype Video? Is there a new version of Skype Mobile that we need to download from the Android Market? If so, does that mean we will have 2 versions of Skype Mobile on our Incredible 2 since the original one is pre-loaded and cannot be removed?

Got mine this morning. VZW support on Twitter said the rollout historically takes about a week.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
