I've seen other posts indicating the same thing, so it can't be your phone. Perhaps they are doing a little maintenance on the servers, or updating it ? Try a little later, and then make a phone call if you're not downloading apps by Saturday morning or afternoon.

I am not having any issues myself.Than again I use a different network. So sounds like it is a verizon thing. Others have been having the same issue you are.
Im not any issue accessing Market and I am using Verizon. I lost power last night do to storm and all I did when I got home was browse the market, but I have read on other forums individuals having this issue.
