Android Music App Playlists Empty

Hi all,

did a search for "Android Music Playlists" and a couple of others and did not see my issue addressed.

Maybe it was but ELI5

Using the default Music App on the Droid X and I create playlists.  A few hours or days later, the playlists are empty.  Seemed to be associated with plugging the phone into the PC to charge only (I don't Synch anything as far as I know).

No spoon feeding necessary, if there is a link to someone addressing this issue please point me in the right direction and I will try and educate myself.

how do you create a playlist, i don't see any options to make one?

Open the music player, touch and hold an artist, album, or song; a menu will pop up and one of the options is to add to a playlist.

"add to a playlist", how do you create the playlist?

Touch "Add to playlist" and it brings up another menu;  "Current Playlist or New".  Touch new, give it a name and then save.
