Does anyone know when the Android 2,2 OS will be available for the HTC Incredible?

Rumors have been flying around for about as long as the phone has been available.

But no official announcement has been made which means that no one knows for sure.

Not freaking soon enough. I had a Motorola droid and upgraded to the DINC kinda wish I had stayed with the Droid 1 now... "sigh"... I hear Aug 6 and end on Aug 15 but I really doubt that will happen for the HTC DINC.

Cmon Verizon get your butts in Gear, you guys have to have the most useless update system on the planet.

The EVO has it, Incredible was out first, and all this "Dont Know" or "Sometime this year" is a bunch of **bleep**.

GIVE us the info!

Even if we cant have the update yet, at least get off your snail mail butts and give us some info! We know you have it already from HTC, so GIVE!

I happened to call HTC who said the update is coming but wouldn't say anything more.   Called VZW too and they indicated that there is no update on their list for the Incredible at the moment.  Disappointing because if it came out in the next week, I'd keep the phone to see if it fixes the grounding issues but if not, I'm probably just going to return it.  I don't think I can wait until xmas to get an update that may or may not help.

You'd think they'd want to get the update out asap to address and fix the issues some of us are having (especially since they are pumping a majority of their phones out now as they catch up to their screen shortage) before we return it for a moto droid.
