Answering phone

My phone answers itself. I'll explain ...

when someone calls my cell, the phone will ring one time, then the line will go live, even if I don't touch anything. The other party can hear me, I can hear them.

I have tried to Motorola forum with no luck. Any suggestions?

Check your settings...sounds like you have it set to answer like that.  Had sort of the same issue...except after a ring it went straight to VM....it was the settings....

Currently, I am not showing the Motorola Droid to offer an Auto Answer feature, so the issue could be that the device needs to be updated. This can be completed through the following steps:


 

  • Dial *228
  • Select Option 2 when prompted
  • You will hear music.
  • Once you have been prompted that the process is complete, the phone should power off and on (if this process does not take place automatically, complete is manually).
