Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the "logic" being used to send out the Froyo update? I have yet to receive it, when others in my area already have.
I'm not even gonna worry about it anymore.
When it gets here it gets here.
At least I know it -is- coming...
I can wait for the official OTA.
I believe Verizon just offers the update in big batches and then stops. Then the next day goes to more people. My guess it would have to do with where you live. Don't worry though. You'll get the update eventually.
I think it would have something to do with either esn/serial or account number.
I've read in a couple of different places that Verizon's standard MO is to release 10,000 updates on day one and listen for problems.
Barring that they start cranking out ?00,000 per day till done, the whole thing takes about a week or so.
Is there any truth to that? Who knows, but it sounds like a lucid and workable plan...
Looking forward to it regardless. Nothing like a new phone for free...
