Last night, it just so happened my Droid X was a year old and the car charger stopped working. I went into the store at Hamilton Marketplace where I bought it and the store was pretty empty with nobody waiting for technical support. I registered and walked to the back desk and the guy tells me someone will be with me in a minute. I tell the second guy why I am there and he looks at the charger and tells me they didn't sell this. I repeated that I had bought it there. Then he starts talking to the first guy and tells him that this isn't their charger as if I no longer exist. I tell him again that I bought it there. He then looks at me again and tells me all of their charges have the Verizon logo on it and must have been bought at at a non-Verizon store. So, I scream at the guy, "Stop calling me a liar. I bought it here with the phone part of a $90 box of accessories." Then, he gets scared and tells me he is not calling me a liar.
I ask him if it is still under warranty. He doesn't answer coherently. The first guy says there is only a 90 day warranty on chargers which if true is a joke. I ask him to show me where the chargers are. He shows me one. I leave.
Here's my question: Is it Verizon's intention to make customers despise them because if it is they are doing a great job?
