Any way to mass delete emails?

My phone recently started saying low on space. After looking into the phone I found that I currently have 10,979 emails that are in the deleted file under my email settings. When I attempt to select each one my phone goes into "wait, force close, close". This takes FOREVER just to delete 20 emails. Is there any way to "select all" and press the delete button instead of having to touch each one individually?

There are two ways to clear the email trash folder completely. Both require you to re-setup the email address account in the email app.
One, delete the account from the email app. Reboot the phone. Open the email app and setup the account again.
Two, go to settings > applications > manage applications > all tab > scroll down to the email app. Select it and then press the clear data button. Go back to your homescreen and open the email app. Re-add the email account.
There is one other option. If the deleted email are still your inbox on the server, create a new folder within the account for archiving the emails. Move all the emails you want to that folder. Now go to the phone and do one of two options listed above. The emails in the archive folder shouldn't sync with the phone.
