still nothing from so cal
I wonder if Verizon was just spending a rumor and we have to wait another month or two lolz
yea i know its still not on long island
Nothing yet in Oregon.
when or if it gets pushed ota, there will be no rhyme or reason as to order. they don't do it by location, name, when you bought it, etc. it is totally random from what i saw with the moto droid. just don't want you all to get your hopes up if you see someone get it near you. with the moto one spouse got her update and her husband got it 2 days later....lol. i'm sure it was KILLING HIM!!! lol ....i'll believe we are getting it when it's on my phone.
I am in Amish country (but I am not Amish ) and I have not received Froyo. Hopefully soon, the agony is killing me!
I agree it will totally be random. Though I would like to hear from one person that has gotten it today.
CNet news states that Verizon started rolling it out today. Their statement was past tense and not future.

lol. but ya it would to be mess up to VZW fire this rumor but then again they wouldn't post or would they?
A couple people have said they have gotten it on Android Central. One has pictures so I've found two possible updates so far.

Still...only two to report in out of the masses who have this phone - I don't know.... I know Verizon said they are doing it but then Verizon has proven they could care less about their customers only how many pennies they can pull out of your wallet.

Actually some people as I remember received an update that lived in Oregon. One person that got it lived in Portland
Nothing has shown up in so call yet
in a word, no. Why do they bother announcing an ota release if it takes 24+ h to get the thing out???

It will take most likely up to two weeks for everyone to receive the update.

this one got it

I know they said they got it, but they also said it wiped all the apps. That is not true with OTA updates apps and such are not deleted.. Me thinks they did the manual update.
i got my 2.2 update around 12:30 am last night. i'm in maryland
woot. really>?
I live in Southern IN and have not received it yet. Its 4pm Central Time. Where or where is this update?
Not received in Nashville yet. A friend the Motorola Droid said it took several days from the time the OTA update was announced for his phone and the time he got the update. I'm sure it will take awhile due to the shear number of folks with these phones. We don't want to overload the network and cause calls to crash and/or downloads in general. I think folks would complain even more if that happened. Just wish there was an official Verizon over the computer for folks who login into their accounts online and then would update the phone. Oh well, patience, patience.......
Still nothing yet in The Bronx, NYC........But I understand it may take a few weeks to fully implement.
We MAY have our first contestant on the boards here.
Should I click OK
Nada from the Cincinnati area
Gimme a break! Never have I heard so much whining! Would you prefer they dumped updates to everyone at once, taking all day with multiple attempts to get it, rendering the entire network useless in the meantime, probably bricking numerous phones?! Some folks need some serious patience training!!

what i would like is for a company of this size is to remeber how to use technology that is avalible to them. there are more ways to push or give an update then ota. I wanted to return the phone from day1 but kept it due to techs saying there where fixes on the way. as it is the phone has no signal (reading are around 90 to 97 in house and no better then mid 80's around town) they say is saturated with signal in this area. they even sent people out to the area to check for problems. tech support spent well overe 4 hrs on the phone having me do all type of inputs and changing different numbers in the phone. So as far as my great phone its not, its well past the return time and i will not spend more when they claim its so much more then it has been for me. I understand not all people are having problems and have a great phone, I am glad for them. However there are others like me who feel they have been downgraded for the money spent. Original phone was ok (omnia) but to wore out to be used.

We can sent people into outer space with computers that were slower than our Droid Incredible but yet Verizon can't handle a simple OS release? There are various ways Verizon could have handled this better, one would be giving a solid time frame, rather than leaving us in the dark and even better, they could have simply let those who wished to update earlier to do so via their website and still do the OTA for those who dont know or dont care about Froyo.
