Ordered my x on the 19 Missed the 31st ship date by a day. Sitting here patiently waiting for the x. This is the best phone that Verizon has in my opinion. Anyone think that they will come out with the face chat. That would be so cool with Verizon

Don't kno that's what we are all waiting to c. But it seems as if the orders are shipping out @ least 4-5 day ahead of schedule so let's just hope that we get them by wed of next week
I ordered mine over the phone early in the morning on August 19th and was told by the representative that mine would ship by the 31st, and would likely ship earlier because of the Droid 2 being released. However, I later looked and saw the 9/7 date and called verizon. Of course, I was told wrong by the first representative.. UGH.. I am in IL and hoping that I get it early as my phone is on its last breath.
Also forgot to mention that I try to enter my order number and last name and Location code and I always get a page cannot be displayed notice.
Since I ordered in person at a corporate store, apparently I can't check the online tracker, for the status of my order. It's only been 7 days, but I'm starting to get irritated with others who've received theirs within a week. After contacting the internet orders email, I received this:

I just called a few minutes ago and was told that my ship date has now changed to 9/3... I actually found some Droid X's at a local Walmart. They actually have a few, but I can't get one because they can't do early upgrades.. UGH.. I can't win..
So today I decide to check my order status ( haven't done so in like a week) but i have been checking my emails. Check the order status and it has changed it was originally suppose to ship on 9/7 but it now say 9/3 in which i hope i get it b4 then but the 3rd or the 4th will be find. patience

I actually have a ship date of 9/09 but a few of my friends got thiers 4-5 days early so that's what I'm hoping for. I have the location number and order number and an email stating that I can now track the status of my backordered phone but the page always says not available at this time when I go to it grrrr at least they told me that my shipping market was houston tx im in the florida panhandle praying for an early gift

FEDEX usually does not deliver on sat or sun.. I did the math and if it ships on the 3rd we won't get it until..... the 7th.. UGH.. The 6th is Labor Day...

Well I've been sittin here researching everyones order and projected ship dates and looks like there telling us all that we should ship 2 weeks from the date we ordered but alot of people are getting earlier ship dates so we should have our phones in hand pretty much 2 weeks from order date..... Except for the fact we all have labor day weekend in the way sooooo we might be the only ones getting screwed UGH
OK So i check my email today and I have shipment conf. Phone was shipped today @ 2:59 and it is in memphis TN. So i'm hoping that i get it 2morrow but it wil definitely be here by the 31st I hope we all get them early cause i know it has been tough for me waiting on the phone but it's christmas time

Funny. I called after reading your post, and they couldn't access my order status since I placed it online. ?????? Maybe I'll get an e-mail soon?

My orders were placed 3 hours apart using #611
The order I placed last has shipped and will be here on the 1st. Nothing has happened with the first order. What kind of sense does that make?
Shouldn't orders that are placed first be shipped first? or is my understanding way off on how backordered items work.
Reading all you guys post is making so anxious!! All I can think about is this darn phone! I really wish it would just ship early. I'd love to have it before the weekend so I can play around with it. Did anyone order on the 24th?? That's when I ordered and I stll can't check my order status. I too am like a kid in a candy store. I hate waiting!

My droid is @ home on my bed but unfortunately I'm @ work and I won't get off until 9 but it finally came so I am happy. I ordered online on 8/19 and was scheduled to have a 9/7 ship date but i later checked and it said it would ship by 9/3 order shipped on 8/29 from memphis tenn and was delivered today. IM in ga. Hope everyone get's there's earlier than expected Good luck I know i am going to enjoy mine gonna be like christmas playing with toys
I ordered 8/22, got a 9/7 ship date. Called over and over on the phone... 8/30 called, phone shipped that day, getting phone tomorrow morning.
UPDATE: Just received my shipment notification in an e-mail, and have a scheduled delivery of tomorrow! YAY! Finally! Glad I didn't have to wait until 9/7 afterall.
Incase you didn't see my other posts, I ordered online on the 23rd.
Looks like 80-90% are getting orders earlier than expected, so if you haven't got yours yet, stay patient. Also, I highly doubt you'd get it later than expected anyway.
I'll let y'all know what I think when I have it in my hands.

My order status changed slightly today, displaying a carrier, but not a tracking number, so I called them up. They looked in their system and then gave me a tracking number. My phone should be arriving today.

Finally!!! Called Verizon CS twice today (probably like 3-4 time over a week time span) to see if they would give me a tracking number or something... They just kept telling me that I'd get mine on 9/7 or 9/9...
Then my GF sends me an email this afternoon saying she got a tracking number in her email!!!
