Anyone know when Froyo update will start again.

A HTC customer rep. told me on Oct 22. that because of a problem with the Motorola Froyo roll-out that the Incredible update was postponed until further notice. Something about the App Store?

Does any one know when Google will start pushing the OTA update again?

2.2 has been out for about two months now. If you are referring to a 3.0 something, first it will not be called

froyo, but some other name. Second, since 2.2 just came out, I see no 3.0 in the immediate future. I can see fixes and upgrades for 2.2, but that is all this will be are fixes and upgrades, not a brand new OS.

I am talking about Froyo 2.2.

Google did start a push, but not every one got updated. During the week of October 20, they apparently stopped the push and postponed it until further notice. I don't expect to see 3.0 for at least 3-4 months. Meanwhile, I still have 2.1 update 1.

This is why I was asking if anyone knew when they would start pushing the FROYO update again?

As there is an, "Update' to 2.2 coming I believe this coming week, I would think it would resume then.

The only thing I have heard for sure that will be in the update is a new VCast App Store. It will be interesting to see how this affects the marketplace.

From all the problems I have seen posted, it appears it may be better to stick with 2.1 for now?

an maintance update to froyo 2.2 is suppose to start rolling out today(2.2.1), not everyone will get it at the same time but in stages just like when froyo was pushed out

Its been a couple of days since your last post ...but does your phone still have 2.1? You lucky son of a gun ...I will give you my DInc 2.2 and cash for your 2.1 ...seriously!!!!!

Yes. I still have 2.1 update 1. Sounds like you have had some bad luck with 2.2.

I was at one of our local VZW stores yesterday, and the rep with which I was talking told me that a "fix" would be coming out soon to fix some of the glitches in 2.2. He didn't elaborate. So it sounds to me like Motorola/Verizon are doing something, or trying to do something, about some of these problems.

I still have 2.1 update 1 as well and have been trying to figure out how/when the update to 2.2 will happen on my phone. I see people are having issues with it but are also getting updates for it so I'd like to at least know if or when I'll get the update or if there is something wrong that my phone isn't updating.

I still don't have the May 2010 update, let alone Froyo! I wonder if there is a problem with my phone. My husband's Incredible updated in October. I have called tech support with no help other than being told that I could do a factory reset. I guess I will just wait until I upgrade my phone next year for new software.
