Anyone with Warranty experience?

I have a Motorola Droid. The power button on top has become permanently recessed into the phone. If I press the button really hard, I can still get the phone to power on and off. I have Asurion insurance. I have also had the phone LESS than one year.
My questions are:
Would this be covered under warranty?
Would there be a deductible if I got a replacement?
Would I be getting a refurbished phone or am I entitled to a new replacement?
Is the Asurion a waste of my money?

Just as a follow up to my post, I ended up going to the Verizon store. My phone was under warranty and was replaced complety free of charge. It was a refurb, but it looks brand new.
