I have an app called poweramp and the thing seems to start up on it own all the time. Can't figure out how or why and don't see any kind of configuration setting for it. I also have trouble closing the app as well sometimes.
Basically, set the phone down and the app is not running, come back later and it is there again playing music. Go into advanced task killer and try to shut it down and it wont. Only way advanced task manager will shut it down is to first pause playback of the music in the app then use advanced task killer to kill the app.
I've killed the app and went back in and made sure it was dead and yet later on it will mysteriously start again somehow. Sometimes it will start back up immediately and sometimes it will many hours later.
Is there some way one of the phones buttons could be programmed to start the app? Or some way something else on the phone could be starting it?
When you have an app like this one that does not have a QUIT button, how are you normally supposed to quit the app without going into the advanced task killer and killing it?

Try emailing the app author. For the time being I'd uninstall the app as this could be a HUGE issue with it killing your battery while you are not even using it.

I agree with crb. I would uninstall this apps. It sounds like it is a monster who wants to eat up your battery. There are so many good music apps. I have Pandora and love it.
