GOogle Earth.
Google Shopping -- surprisingly good barcode scanner among other things
YouVersion bible software -- free with lots of translations
Kobo Reader -- Great book store using semi-universal ePub
Aldiko Reader-- Great for public domain books love the user interface.
Google Skymap -- interesting sometimes good for what is that bright star right there.
TwiDroid -- Lately I have been using Peep cause I have sense but I am considering returning to Twidroid
RealCalc -- scientific calculator which adds some nice useful features to the stock calculator. Do kind of wish there was free graphig calculator but eh it is what it is.
YellowPages -- Finally seems to actually use the Yellow Pages database which is about as accurate and up-to-date as you can get. Also finally integrates with Google maps. Truly useful app especially if you are in an area you aren't too familiar with and are looking for something specific. Some of the categories are a little scrambled but not too bad
Adobe Reader -- Official PDF viewer from Adobe nicely done.
Aexplore -- file manager
Astro -- mostly just have it for the ability to download non-Android apps for installation on computers keeps me from having to redownload things.
Bank of America -- because I bank with them
Pandora -- must have for anyone who likes music
Mancala -- because it is a fun game
Weather bug -- because Sense weather doesn't give me enough information and usually isn't overly accurate. Besides that I have windows to tell me what is going on right now what I need is what could happen in the next few hours. With sense weather you get right now and tomorrow no this afternoon or hour by hour.
Google Voice -- nice little voice mail manager
Fandango -- Movie app I like it better than Flickster or the others and since I have an account set up with them I can always just buy movies over my phone and pick them up at the Fandango kiosk. yeah techie.
Of all the apps I have had or used these are the ones I keep. Basically these are the ones I thought to re-download when I changed phones which meant these are the ones I missed. I did have download assist but it doesn't exist anymore, and I had MotoTourch which was one of my most used apps and so far there aren't any good replacements for it for the Incredible.
I highly recommend you avoid taskkillers. In theory they save battery but they are the cause of 73% of all issues people are having with Android. I would also avoid most of the flashy widgets unless you have an extended battery. Twitter widget eats batteries for lunch, as apparently does the clock with the fancy weather graphics, the calander (which stinks cause it is so much better than the stock calander widget, and so far that is about all the ones I have found but any that require constant updates, or use a lot of graphics or use location or other services.
