Are these things normal???

I am having several little "glitches" with my new Droid X that do not seem normal.
1) The processor seems to be very slow. I heard this phone was suppose to be as fast or faster than the Incre. but it is much slower. (even when I take it off power saver mode)
2) Apps keep starting up. I'll use the app killer and within minutes, there are about 10 or more apps back up and running.
3) The battery life is awful, probably due to problem 2. This phone is suppose to have better battery life than the Incre. but it is not.
4) Touch screen is slow to respond at times, taking several seconds to do anything. (again back to problem 1).
5) The camera also does not seem up to par. Again, slow to respond. People (and you) have to be completely still to get a decent image. When viewing an image before taking a picture, "digital artifacts" (white pixel blocks) will sometimes appear on the screen. While I've never not captured an "artifact" in a picture, it is distracting none the less.
If these problems are just par for this phone and everyone has them, please let me know. If not, again, please let me know. I just don't want to keep this phone if there is something seriously wrong with it.

Here are my answers from my own personal experience.
1) The processor in this thing is fast, very fast, consistently benchmarks higher than any of the snapdragon phones(Evo, Incredible, N1), BUT Moto blur does slow it down in some places.
2) Apps always do this on all android phones, the amazon mp3 store is a common one. I use advanced task killer and I have it set to auto kill on crazy and when I turn the screen off. Thats overkill, Android doesnt need a task manager as if you are doing something that needs more ram or cpu it will automatically kill or hold another process or app thats running in the background.
3) WIth normal use, and ATK on crazy, I can get about 2 days with it being unplugged at about 10AM on day 1 and the battery icon will be orange by about 7PM on day 2.
4) My screen is fairly responsive, Only places I see noticeable lag is the app "drawer" ( its not a drawer anymore), and in some of the blur apps.
5) The Camera on mine is faster than the droid 1, but yes it takes poor pictures unless you are perfectly still and good lighting. The video though is a different story, AWESOME VIDEO.
To be honest sounds like you COULD have something wrong, but then again I dont know how many apps you have installed or what they are. In many ways android is like a pc, you have to be careful what you install, and know what is using your resources.
One of the downsides of having an open source os and the market place being more open, is sometimes there are malicious apps. Google has been pretty good though about warning people and getting it out of the market.
Another thing to remember is this phone has blur, I absolutely HATE blur, it is poorly written and just in the way. Hopefully Motorola makes 2.2 better and for gingerbread gets rid of it.

K thanks for your response. I tried your recommendation of setting the ATK to crazy and still apps like: voice command, alarm and timer, contacts, music, text messaging, SOCIAL networking restart without me using them at all. Also after killing apps, my home page is blank and unresponsive for several seconds.
I don't have a lot of apps loaded and the ones I do I also had on my Incre. So most of what I feel is wrong with this phone is based off of my limited experience with it.
BTW you say the video is awesome??? Does that include slow and fast mention capture? Also, is it awesome for a camera phone or just plan awesome?? My camcorder does not do so well at capturing motion.

The multiple home screens on the X are nice, but the widgets on each screen will keep reactivating. For performance I've removed most of my widgets and shortcuts.
The Droid Inc get's about 12-14 hours of battery time at best, I'm getting 18 hours between my nightly recharge, and it's still sitting at 60-70% when I put it onto the charger.
The video fps on the droid X is about 26 from the benchmarks I've seen, the human eye can only see about 30fps so it's pretty darn good. In well lit areas blur from motion is minimal compared to other phones.
If you are interested in benchmarks, google Droid X benchmark. They have one which tests the Droid X, N1, and HTC Evo side by side. The Droid X was on par with N1 which is running 2.2 on a couple of the tests and beat it on most. It annihilated the HTC Evo finishing the tests in about 1/2 the time.
