My daughter is presently in AIT with the U.S. Army. Upon her graduation from basic training on June 23 she purchased the Motorola Droid Global 2. It immediately started acting up, arbitrarily dialing numbers, dropping calls and having the same contact number listed thousands of times in her directory. Due to being in AIT she was unable to leave the post until this past weekend, when she was able to go to her local Verizon Wireless store.
She exchanged her Global 2 for an Incredible 2, but only after the store reps had given her a hard time about it being several weeks since she got her original phone. Excuse me VERIZON WIRELESS but I had called about this problem as soon as they arose, explained that she would NOT be able to get to a store until possibly August and was told by the phone rep there would be no problem, due to her Army status.
The store did swap out the phone and it worked fine, for about 5 hours. Now she is back on post and it no longer accesses the internet with 3G, instead it wants to access on the post wireless system, which must be paid for. She is once again unable to leave the post for several weeks.
I am a long term Verizon customer, but this is getting rediculous. If you guys can't get this fixed to where my daughter who is serving her country can get a reliable phone, then I'll drop you guys like a hot rock. By the way, I'm also a travel writer who is read by people all over the world and I will have problem in discussing these problems with the tens of thousands of readers that follow me.

Hi DaveEsl,
I understand your frustration and want your daughter to have an operable phone as well. It's unfortunate that she has been experiencing issues with both new devices. If possible, provide a city/state where she is experiencing the problem. I will review her her location in effort to determine if sufficient network coverage is available on base. I look for to hearing from you soon.
