- Command the device to sound an alarm even if the device was set to silent or vibrate
- Device remote lock
- Trigger the device to lock to secure data (excluding removable memory) and prevent access to information
- Device must have previously activated with a lock or password in order for this function to work
- Trigger the device to lock to secure data (excluding removable memory) and prevent access to information
- Device remote wipe
- Remotely wipe contacts from the device
- The use of Backup Assistant is strongly recommended in conjunction with Mobile Recovery to prevent permanent lost of contacts

This application is similar to Lookout. Primary differences are:
Pluses-
1. Can wipe contacts remotely
2. Can provide turn by turn directions to recover a lost phone
Minuses-
1. Requires GPS to be on, with no way to turn it off. You may set a GPS fix interval no greater than 60 minutes.
2. Does not provide backups
Lookout-
Pluses-
1. Does not require GPS to be on to provide a fix. Uses cell tower triangulation if GPS is not available (less accurate)
2. Provides anti-virus scanning of all downloaded programs.
3. Provides automatic data backup and weekly email reports.
4. Contains a privacy advisor which reports what programs are accessing stored personal info.
Minuses-
1. Appears to do the virus scan after the program is downloaded.
2. Does not offer turn by turn directions, only map locationmof lost device.
Both programs offer a remote sound alert to assist in finding your phone. Both are free.

Uninstalled.
Overnight Batt Usage, whilst I slept, now shows 17% by this app (MobileRecovery), the highest of anything on my phone other than Android System.

I use Mobile Defense. (Currently not available in the market until the new version comes out) however I leave my GPS on all the time. Unless requested to run, the GPS program just sits there. This program can be run without GPS, but what good is the knowing the area if you can not pinpoint it.
I see no add'l battery drain at all. My phone has been on and not charged since middle of the afternoon yesterday. I am at 51%

Yeah meaning the thief of the phone just needs to remove the Verizon sim-card that is with the device and voila, no need to worry about losing all that information he/she has just stolen.
