I have a number of audiobooks that I have purchased through iTunes (for my iPod Touch). Is there a way to load them onto my DroidX ... or is there another marketplace where I can purchase and download audiobooks for the DX? I don't want Kindle books ... I'm not looking to read books on my DX, but listen to them. Would appreciate any advice! Thanks.

There are supposed to be ways to download audio from iTunes....you may want to do a search.
A commercial subscrition service for audio books would be audible, com. They have a very large selection.

Thanks; I've got a question in on iTunes. Audible.com does have a great selection, but at $15/month, plus the cost of the book, I don't know if I want to go that route. Thanks again.

I am pretty sure that the $15.00 includes one book, and a discount on additional selections. I see they have a $22.00/month plan for 2 books. Those prices are not bad for audio books.
If you are going to subscribe, pm me and I will send you some info to get a book for free with a 14-day trial.

Thanks for the clarification; I should have read the plans more carefully! Knowing that, it does work out to be a good deal. Thanks!

I can download audiobooks from my local library, through a website called Overdrive and another website called Net Library. The books are in a WMA format. The only catch: the device must accept the 21-day license (the book won't play after 21 days, which is the normal checkout period for a library book). Currently, I'm downloading books to a Creative Zen, which accepts the license. I haven't tried downloading to my DX. My concern would be the battery life. My Zen will play an audiobook for days and days without a recharge. I put an MP3 plug in my car, so I can listen to my audiobook through my car speakers. I don't know if the DX would accept the MP3 car plug.
